After a decade of growing three varietals, we decided to create our Proprietors Blend in this excellent growing season. The Malbec provides firm structure and dark fruit; the co-fermented Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc lend distinct black pepper notes while the Syrah adds an interesting layer of spice. The distinctly evident flavors and aromas of each of these varietals are well integrated and add great length to the finish. Don’t think if this as a Malbec. Lighter in style than our more traditional Viña Andrico Malbecs, the 2017 Perro Negro is showing great elegance and complexity. We aged this wine 6 years (19 months in French Oak) prior to release. It’s very approachable now (January, 2023) but will age for another decade.

We produced our Proprietor’s Blend in just 3 of the best growing seasons over last 16 years. In order for all of our followers to enjoy the wine, we have to limit purchases to 1 case per human.
